White Lake Provincial Park is a perfect lake to enjoy nature and have fin with family and friends. Just a 5-minute drive from Bossa Nova Lodge, The 266 hectares wide park is located 10 km northeast of Highway 1, between Sorrento and Salmon Arm, in the Shuswap, British Columbia.







THINGS TO DO
Swimming
You can swim in White Lake. During summer, this lake is very inviting for swimming. Just keep in mind that this park does not have a designated or protected swimming area. Please exercise caution when swimming due to boat traffic.
Paddling
White Lake is an ideal lake for paddling. Paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and SUP boards are great ways to enjoy the water, especially on White Lake. Motorized boats are popular on Big White Lake.
Fishing
This park is renowned for its outstanding recreational rainbow trout fishing. It ranks among the top three angling lakes in the province based on the number of angler days. White Lake is a favorite spot for both fly fishing and trolling in the summer, as well as for ice fishing in the winter.
Birdwatching
White Lake is a safe haven to thousands of migratory birds every year. Its diverse landscapes—including lakeshores, marshlands and forests—form a tapestry of habitats that attract a wide variety of bird species.
Hiking
Visitors find White Lake a great area to explore by foot, including the White Lake Provincial Park & Bastion-Ivy Fire Trail.
Biking
There are lots of quiet and not too steep roads to bike around the White Lake Provincial Park area.
Boating
An undeveloped boat launch area is suitable for small car-top type boats only. Boaters are requested to launch their boats in the main launching area only.
Winter Activities
White Lake is popular in winter for ice fishing and snowshoeing.
